RSC Bill Bryson Prize 2011 winners
The RSC received hundreds of informative and creative entries to the 2011 competition from both primary and secondary school students. For 2011 we welcomed entries from International Schools to mark the International Year of Chemistry.
The winning entries were divided into four main categories:
- Overall winner - Laura Hedges and Anna Highfield, The Priory School, Shrewsbury
- Secondary Schools winners - Kathryn Hughes, Croydon High School, Somerset and Evelyn Henderson, King Edward VI High School for Girls, Birmingham
- Primary Schools winner - Lir Afiq, Chinthurst School, Tadworth
- International Schools winner - Danran Chen and Andi Wang, High School affiliated to Peking University, Beijing, China
The winners each received prizes of £500 for their schools plus £100 for themselves.
