Editorial Board

David Amabilino is Research Professor and Vice-Director at the Materials Science Institute of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC). Born in Welwyn Garden City (Hertfordshire) the year that England won the football World Cup, he obtained his first degree and doctoral at (the then) Royal Holloway and Bedford New College of the University of London. After a three year postdoctoral stay under the mentorship of Sir J. Fraser Stoddart in Birmingham, a year and a bit stay in Strasbourg in Jean-Pierre Sauvage's group, he joined the ICMAB in 1996. He directs a dedicated group of young researchers from different cultural and scientific backgrounds working on key problems in stereochemistry, self-assembly on and off surfaces, and molecular (nano)materials.
