Course description

The only way of knowing what's going on inside your steam system is by testing your water and understanding what's happening. Run a safer and more energy efficient system, prolong plant life and limit downtime. The Combustion Engineering Association have developed a new course aimed at water testing for people with minimal knowledge of chemistry and water.

The two day programme includes:
The basics of water and water treatment
Obtaining good quality samples safely
Types of test kits
Practical testing session
Recording and interpretation of results
Scale
Corrosion
Condensate
How testing can save money
Industry guidance and legal requirements

There will be an assessment at the end of the two days.

Successful candidates will receive a certificate of acheivement confirming their Steam Boiler Water Treatment Certification, valid for five years, together with an identification card.
