Kent Local Section: ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

23 March 2016 19:00-22:00, Chatham Maritime, United Kingdom

Introduction
Bees play a crucial role in pollination but there is increasing concern in some quarters about the rapid decline in bee numbers. Is this just media exaggeration or is there really a problem? What is the impact on our flora and also our commercial fruit growers? Is there anything we can do about it?

After a career as an analytical chemist at Wellcome and then GSK followed by six years as a Defra Bee Inspector, Bob has become one of the leading beekeepers in Kent. He lectures widely, runs training courses for beekeepers and has acted as an adviser on government panels concerned with bees and pollination.

NB There will be a £5.00 charge to offset the cost of a buffet meal with drinks after the lecture at approximately 2030

Both members and partners/guests are welcome at the AGM and lecture
