Introduction
The Liverpool Local Section AGM 2016 will be held on Thursday 12 May 2016 at the Lever Club, Port Sunlight. The AGM will be followed by a talk by Dr Tom McDonald of Liverpool University. Tom’s talk, Nanomedicine - making a big impact from small particles, will introduce nanotechnology, examine accuracy of the mainstream's perception of nanomedicine and describe some of the research carried out at Liverpool. In this research, Tom, as part of a diverse team of scientists, has taken a HIV treatment from a small scale lab concept to the first global example of a clinical trial of a HIV nanomedicine.

A buffet will be available in the Lever Club from 1830.
Subject to member interest, a guided pedestrian tour of Port Sunlight Village may be available from 1730.
Members wishing to attend should inform the Honorary Secretary by 18th April 2016 and should also indicate if they have any special dietary or access requirements and/ or wish to take part in the tour.
