Whiskyology

28 October 2016 19:00-22:00, Manchester, United Kingdom

Introduction
Enjoy a tutored tasting of Scotland’s finest export with local whisky enthusiasts, who’ll discuss the tradition of whisky-making and explain the science behind the distiller’s art. Work your way through six very special drams, discussing the differences between drinking, tasting and nosing; how to detect flavour notes; and malty myths that should be dismissed. You’ll also talk about germination, fermentation, distillation and detection limits.
