The Science of Magic Afternoon Sixth Form Lecture

8 March 2017 13:15-15:00, Liverpool, United Kingdom

Introduction
Have you ever wondered how magicians accomplish some of their amazing magic tricks? Could Science give us some of the answers?

The Royal Society of Chemistry Liverpool local section would like to welcome students to attend our Sixth Form lecture. The lecture will be given by Rick Tynan, a senior science education lecturer at LJMU, and third generation magician and magic circle member. Rick will use interactive demonstrations of famous magic tricks based on pyrotechnics, pseudoscience and vanishing ink to bring the Science behind magic alive!

The event is being held in the James Parsons Lower Lecture theatre in the James Parsons building, Liverpool John Moores Byrom street campus. Light refreshments will be provided before the start of the lecture. You should aim to arrive at 1:15 pm. Tickets are free, but places are limited, so reserve your tickets at the link to avoid disappointment!
