Introduction
Join us for this webinar if you are looking to start or progress your career in academia - with a focus on teaching in academia. Our panel will share advice on developing a career in this area, and also share their own career stories.

We will be joined by: 

Dr Suzanne Fergus – Principal Lecturer, University of Hertfordshire. In 2016 Suzanne was awarded the Royal Society of Chemistry's Higher Education Teaching Award for her sustained innovations in chemistry teaching. She was also awarded a National Teaching Fellowship in 2017 for excellence in teaching and outstanding impact on student learning and the teaching profession. She is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. 

Dr Jenny Slaughter - Lecturer in Chemistry, University of Manchester 

Dr Stephen Bromfield, Teaching Fellow - Department of Chemistry, University of Bath

Prof Simon Lancaster - Professor and Director of Learning and Teaching in the School of Chemistry at the University of East Anglia. Simon's contributions have been recognised by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) Higher Education Award (2013) and a HEA National Teaching Fellowship (2013). He is currently president-elect of the Education Division of the RSC and Communications Officer for the Association of National Teaching Fellows. 

Dr Jacquie Robson - Associate Professor (Teaching) Durham University. After being a RSC Teacher Fellow in 2010/11 Jacquie made the transition from school teaching to HE teaching.
