‘What is Good Science?’ is the first in a series of three panel discussions that seeks to address the important issues of science communication, ethical science and public trust in expertise. Through moderated discussions with scientists, experts and educators, the Good Science series aims to shine a spotlight on the importance of engaged research and the positioning of scientific research in public policy.

The panellists for this event are:
• Professor Maria Baghramian MRIA, Full Professor of Philosophy at UCD School of Philosophy and Professor II at the Department of Philosophy, University of Oslo
• Professor Peter Lynch MRIA, former Deputy Director of Met Éireann and Professor of Meteorology at the School of Mathematics and Statistics in UCD
• Professor Sylvia Draper, Professor of Molecular Materials in the School of Chemistry and the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, TCD
• Professor Jonathan Coleman MRIA, Erasmus Smith's Professor of Natural and Experimental Philosophy (1724) in the School of Physics, TCD
