Try this class experiment to practise manipulating mixtures of soluble and insoluble materials by separating sand and salt. Includes kit list and safety instructions.

In this class practical, students separate a mixture of sand and salt, illustrating the fundamental means of separating a mixture of an insoluble material from one that is soluble.
