Try this demonstration to explore the effects of pressure and temperature on an equilibrium mixture with your students. Includes kit list and safety instructions.

In this demonstration, students observe changes in the colour and volume of an equilibrium mixture of brown nitrogen dioxide and colourless dinitrogen tetroxide as it is compressed, heated or cooled.
