Book a consultation or speak with a Career and Professional Development Adviser
Consultations are available to our Associate members (AMRSC), Members (MRSC) and Fellows (FRSC). If you are unsure about your membership category and what support is available, then please contact the Career Management team or visit http://www.rsc.org/careers. We recommend those currently studying at undergraduate level access their university careers service in the first instance.
You can book a career consultation online or by emailing the Careers team using the details to the left. Please quote your membership number when contacting us. We offer early morning and evening slots from 7.30am to 7.30pm on selected weekdays by appointment for our professional members.
In addition, we offer e-consultations where we offer advice using email, which do not need to be booked. Please email the career management team with your query using the box on the left and one of the team will get back to you within five days.
What our members say
Here’s what some members recently told us about their consultation:
Fantastic service- I would recommend any RSC members if they are unsure about their career path. This was my second time to use and every time I get positive things back and feel more energised to work on building my career.
After undertaking a mock interview with one of the careers advisers, I felt the advice and encouragement she gave me helped me secure an interview...and I was offered the job!
Realistic advice - not just about career progression but also taking into account personal situation (factors outside of work affecting career decisions).
If you're a member then you also can talk to the Chemist's Community Fund about their legal, financial and other advice services
