The Analytical Chemistry Trust Fund (ACTF) is a charity established for the purposes of promoting, assisting and extending the science and study of Analytical Chemistry and of all questions relating to the analysis, nature and composition of natural and manufactured materials for the benefit of the public.
The ACTF supports strategic Analytical Science Community activities.
ACTF also funds the Community for Analytical Measurement Science (CAMS) secretariat, lectureships and postdocs.
ACTF COVID-19 Disruption Grant - Closing 31 December 2022
ACTF Trustees recognise the disruption that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on analytical science students. We are relaunching a disruption grant of £500 aimed at PhD students whose studies have been adversely affected by the pandemic and need additional monetary support to complete their studies.
Note, this fund is to support personal costs to help enable students to complete their studies for example rent, or other caring or living costs, and cannot be used for laboratory research costs. Students must be resident in the UK or Republic of Ireland and registered at a University in the UK or Republic of Ireland.

ACTF Travel Grant for Food Analytics Conference
ACTF is launching a travel grant designed to assist PhD students and ECRs (within 5 years of the end of their PhD) to attend the Food Analytics Conference, Copenhagen in November 2022. A grant of £500 will be awarded to successful applicants to contribute to travel and subsistence costs.
The deadline for receipt of applications is July 29, 2022. Further information can be requested from ruth@rhearn.net.

ACTF Analytical Chemistry Summer Studentships
The awards provide support for the student at a rate of £270 per week (£320 per week in London), for a period of between 6 and 8 weeks during the summer vacation.

ACTF Overseas Conference Travel Grants
Awarded to members of the RSC Analytical Science Community.
The Fellowship has been established to assist early career analytical chemists at UK or Irish HEIs to establish their own independent analytical science research identity.
