Metallomics has a new home
We are pleased to announce the transfer of the journal Metallomics from our journals portfolio to Oxford University Press (OUP).
Metallomics publishes cutting-edge investigations aimed at elucidating the identification, distribution, dynamics, role and impact of metals and metalloids in biological systems.
The journal will join OUP’s world-class science portfolio starting with the 2021 volume. Royal Society of Chemistry Gold customers will continue to have perpetual access to all Metallomics articles published until the end of 2020.
Dr Emma Wilson, Royal Society of Chemistry director of publishing, said: "Over the past ten years, Metallomics has established itself as the home of high quality work – destined to clarify the enormous complexity of biological systems – carried out by its unique and interlinked research community. As the journal moves into the next stage in its development, we feel it can best continue to thrive with the support of a publisher with a wider biological portfolio and focus.
"After successfully completing the deal with OUP with the invaluable assistance of Bertoli Mitchell LLP, we wish Metallomics all the best for the future in its new home."
Professor David Giedroc, Chair of the editorial board of Metallomics, says: “On behalf of the Board, I sincerely thank the Royal Society of Chemistry for its unwavering enthusiasm in promoting Metallomics, and look forward to working with OUP to make the journal even stronger than it is today.”
Jennifer Paxton-Boyd, Executive Publisher, Oxford University Press, said: “We are delighted to welcome Metallomics into the OUP portfolio, and look forward to working with Professor Giedroc to build on the journal’s established success for the future.”
