#RSCPoster 2022 – the highlights
The 2022 edition of #RSCPoster has come to a close, after 24 hours of tweeting and discussions – allowing researchers from across the chemical sciences and around the world to present their work, network, and learn from each other.
Now in its seventh year, the annual #RSCPoster conference is a way for chemical scientists to discuss their work with peers around the globe, no matter their location, and to connect with scientists in their field from the comfort of their home or office. It's held on Twitter over a 24 hour period, and this year we saw 900 people from 69 countries register their posters for the competition. We had participants from every continent except Antarctica!
This year participants were able to submit posters in one of 13 subject areas, from analytical chemistry to engineering. Over the next few days our subject chairs – all inspirational scientists in their respective fields – will choose winners in each category.
Below you can see some of the great posters that we spotted on the day. Keep an eye on our website and social channels for the coming announcement of the winners.
Can we make carbon neutral fuels more efficiently? See our computational study on understanding how Cu nanoparticles could be used to catalyse CO2 to carbon neutral fuels! Thanks #RSCPoster for hosting this amazing poster comp! #RSCCat #RSCEnergy #RSCNano #RSCPhys pic.twitter.com/ayNrxtjPiV

In addition to the traditional posters, this year, for the second year running, participants were able to submit a short video using the hashtag #RSCPosterPitch, summarising their research and explaining their poster further. See some of our favourites below.
I made an animation for the #RSCPosterPitch of her work, in a format of a "Back to the Future" parody: https://t.co/owwyYTU0jz @RoySocChem #RSCPoster #RSCDigital

We were thrilled to receive lots of positive feedback on #RSCPoster, #RSCPosterPitch and #RSCPosterLive – our series of themed webinars which ran throughout the day.
The first #RSCPosterLive webinar just ended - many thanks to the speakers for reminding us that enjoying life outside work makes us better at work too. And that planning is key at any career stage🗓️

Thanks @RoySocChem
Totally blown away with the +60 posters that I have already taken a look at in the #RSCNano division of the #RSCPoster conference. Once again - thank you @RoySocChem for organising this event and allow everyone around the world to take part including #ozchem @RACInational
