MOFs in Asia

This themed collection will showcase the latest advancements and innovations in the design, synthesis, characterization and application of Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs), particularly from research teams based in Asia.

MOFs are a rapidly growing area of research, with tremendous potential in fields such as catalysis, gas storage, drug delivery, and environmental remediation. This collection will focus on recent advances and innovative research in the field of Metal-Organic Frameworks across Asia, highlighting cutting-edge developments in their design, synthesis, and application and will serve as a platform to promote collaboration and exchange of ideas among researchers from various countries in Asia, fostering the growth of this exciting field.

We are particularly interested in articles that offer significant insights into:

• Synthesis and structural analysis
• MOFs for energy and environmental applications
• Catalysis and gas storage using MOFs
• MOF-based sensors and devices
• Theoretical insights and computational modeling of MOFs

All types of manuscript – communications, full papers and highlights – will be considered for publication. The manuscript should be prepared according to our article guidelines and submitted via our online system.

All manuscripts will be subject to the usual initial assessment and peer review processes as necessary, and inclusion in the Collection will be at the discretion of the Guest Editors. Please indicate in your submission that you are submitting to this Collection and inform the Editorial Office by email.

Following our peer-review process, we will publish accepted articles online in a citeable form as soon as they are ready, with compilation of the complete collection in Summer 2025.
