Diploma in Coatings for Corrosion Control

In collaboration with our partners the Diploma in Coatings for Corrosion Control offers a qualification recognised internationally throughout the coatings industry and is accredited by ICorr, RSA, Lloyd’s Register and SSPC.

Delivered by distance learning allows you to decide when and how long you wish to study.

All students will have access to the online Corrodere training course for 12 months, subscriptions to industry magazines, comprehensive research material and bibliography. Submitting 5 assignments over 12 months with 2 mandatory assignments in Basic Corrosion and Basic Paint Chemistry plus 3 further assignments chosen from 12 specialist subjects listed below. You will also need to select one subject from three options for your closed book examination

Guidelines for the assignments are provided within the question. It is a requirement to research each chosen subject thoroughly and produce a 3,000 word assignment. Guidance notes will be provided with each essay question and will be undertaken through distance learning. It would be expected that the essays show a greater depth of knowledge than that obtained from the online reference material provided.

HNC/HND in Chemistry or other Science/Engineering subject, ICorr Level 2, SSPC Level 2, NACE Level 2, FROSIO Level 3, Corrodere IMO/PSPC
