This course is taught live in a virtual classroom through interactive, instructor-led training with instrument parts and consumables shown and explained. Small group sizes with plenty of opportunities to ask questions through live Q&A.
This module covers gases and plumbing in gas chromatography and looks in detail at the types of carrier gases, detector gases and cooling gases used. The course then looks at the gas supply; how gases are plumbed into the GC; the reasons to use gas purifiers and the types available; and how the gas flow and pressure is controlled.
At the end of the course, delegates will know how to select and use the GC carrier gas and the principles of how gases should be plumbed-in, from source to instrument.
This is module 2 of the Virtual Classroom Training: Practical Essentials of GC & GC-MS (total 18 hours over 5 days) and the Virtual Classroom Training: Complete GC & GC-MS (total 30 hours over 9 days).
