ChemCareers India 2014

Introduction
ChemCareers India is back. After receiving fantastic response last year, the Royal Society of Chemistry is now hosting ChemCareers in Hyderabad.

The objective of organising this fair is to provide students an opportunity to learn about prospective employers, receive expert advice from professionals and gather information on career options. At the same time it’s an opportunity for industries to tap into a wider chemical sciences pool, from graduate students to research scholars and strengthens their brand awareness among students.

ChemCareers India 2013 was the first one to take place outside of the UK and was held at the Indian Institute of Chemical Techology in Hyderabad. ChemCareers will soon be launched in China and Brazil.

Highlights from ChemCareers India 2013 were:
• 15 companies and universities participated and 1,000 students attended.
• Industry partners included Tata Chemicals, L’Oreal, Godrej, Reliance Industries and Galaxy Surfactants
• Presentations on Green Chemistry, Flavour Industry, Personal Care, Petrol-Chemicals, Energy, Agro Sciences and exciting research areas
• No registration fees for students
• All students attending the event were given a free RSC Membership worth Rs. 1800/ - each
