Course description

Not many people appreciate that pressurised hot water systems are specifically mentioned in the HSE INDG436 document “Safe Management of Industrial Steam and Hot Water Boilers – A Guide for Owners, Managers and Supervisors of Boilers, Boiler Houses and Boiler Plant”. Water is fundamental for the hot water raising process, but it is generally recognised that nearly all
serious boiler failures can be traced back in some way to poor management of water quality in the boiler and hot water system. Suitable and sufficient training for boiler owners, operators and managers in the correct selection, operation, maintenance and testing of water treatment activities in their boiler house is therefore essential, not only to comply with the law, but in order to ensure that hot water boilers are operated safely and efficiently at all times.
Following the completion of the 2 days training course and 1 hour exam the successful candidate will receive an ID Card and Certificate valid for 5 years.
