Electrochemistry Group Bursaries

Our community recognising scientific excellence.

Electrochemistry Group Student Bursary Scheme

The bursary scheme is now open until 31 March 2021

The Student Bursary scheme provides financial support to promising postgraduate students to attend a major electrochemistry conference abroad. This includes students based in UK or Ireland intending to travel to a major electrochemistry conference abroad and students based abroad wishing to attend a conference in the UK. This year we shall also be considering support for students to attend a major on-line electrochemistry conference.

The Bursary Scheme is open to all postgraduate student members of the RSC's Electrochemistry Group undertaking research in electrochemistry.

Up to six awards may be made (of up to £300 for an in-person event or up to £200 for an on-line event). The successful applicants are expected to submit a short report for the Electrochemistry Newsletter. The student bursary scheme can only fund up to one student per research group per calendar year.

Applications shall consist of:

  1. the application form
  2. the abstract submitted to the conference organisers

Applications should be submitted via the submission portal. The portal will request authentication of the application by the student's supervisor. Applications must be completed (including authentication) before 9am GMT Tuesday 31 March 2021. The conference must take place this calendar year and claims and newsletter articles must be submitted by 13 December 2021.
