Over 22 years’ experience in a home and personal care international company (Unilever) in science and technology of detergents and fabric conditioners, rheology and processing of complex liquids, stability and shelf life of colloidal liquids, emulsions and dispersions, formulation of fabric conditioners, perfume interactions in detergents and fabric conditioners, crystallization issues in detergents, measurement techniques, and formulating innovative product concepts.
Over 40 patented inventions ranging from detergents, fabric conditioners, ironing waters, tumble dryer anti-static and conditioning sheets and devices, probiotics and botanical micro-particles benefit agents in shower gels and conditioners, photosensitizer for freshness in detergents and conditioners. About 20 publications and lectures in scientific journals and international conferences and a chapter contribution to a book on particle sizing. In the last five years I have been a consultant to Philips Singapore (domestic steam irons), Lubrizol Asia/China (market prediction), National Starch Food Innovation USA (quality control of food polymers), Reckitt Benckiser (Hall, UK) Airfreshners (AirWick brand) perfume solubility in surfactants and solvents, and, QXE Industries Limited UK (high phase volume fire retardants, Intumescent, non-slips and antimicrobial dispersions).
