Materials Chemistry Division (MCD)

We are open to all RSC members and provide a society wide grouping for members working in the interdisciplinary field of Materials Chemistry. We promote Materials Chemistry as a key area that underpins many fundamental aspects of science and technology.

We provide a home within the RSC for any member with an interest in the properties, function or processing of materials; from solid state, photonic and nano-materials to polymers, liquid crystals and soft solids.

We organise a range of activities including the series of Materials Chemistry conferences, support regional meetings, work with other Divisions to arrange Discussion Meetings, and support our community through our small grant and travel grant schemes.

Why not find out more about some of the things that we are doing to support and champion Materials Chemistry.
