Solid Surfaces Group
The Solid Surfaces Group is one of the RSC's many Interest Groups. The Interest Groups are member driven groups which exist to benefit RSC members, and the wider chemical science community, in line with the RSC's strategy and charter.
Aim
To promote the understanding of interfacial phenomena, by means of both fundamental and applied research into the properties and characteristics of solid surfaces, and acts as a forum for the exchange of information and ideas within the surface science community.
Scope
Areas of interest of group members include topics such as:
- Semiconductor surfaces
- Nanotechnology and thin films
- Heterogeneous catalysis
- Surface analytical techniques
- Theory of surfaces
- Adsorption
- Corrosion
- Tribology
- Biosurfaces
Get Involved
We are always looking for new members who are keen to get involved and to help organise our activities. If you would like to find out more please contact the Secretary.
