SynTech: Synthesis technology symposium 2027

SynTech 2027 brings together leading researchers from academia and industry to explore the technologies and ideas reshaping modern chemical synthesis. Taking place on 5–7 May 2027 at the Old Royal Naval College, University of Greenwich, the symposium connects electrosynthesis, flow chemistry, mechanochemistry, biocatalysis, artificial intelligence, catalysis, process chemistry and other emerging approaches to reaction discovery and manufacture.

Following the fully booked 2026 meeting, SynTech returns with a new international speaker line-up and an emphasis on excellent science, discussion and cross-disciplinary interaction. The meeting is designed for PhD researchers, postdoctoral scientists, academics and industrial researchers seeking methods beyond their immediate specialism and new collaborations.

PROGRAMME AND SPEAKERS The programme combines invited plenary lectures, selected contributed short talks, poster sessions and substantial time for discussion and networking. Faul — Amgen, USA • Professor Tehshik P. Yoon — University of Wisconsin–Madison, USA AsymChem will also contribute a talk on the scale-up of enabling technologies; its speaker is to be confirmed. ABSTRACTS AND KEY DATES Registration and abstract submissions are open. Abstracts are reviewed on a rolling basis, with decisions normally within 10 working days of a complete submission. Posters are open to applicants at every career stage. Contributed short talks are primarily intended for academics, with priority for researchers in their first independent academic appointment. • Priority deadline for contributed short talks: 4 December 2026 • Early-bird registration deadline: 12 February 2027 • Final poster abstract deadline: 12 March 2027, subject to availability • Standard registration closes: 9 April 2027

REGISTRATION AND FEES Early-bird / standard rates are £225 / £275 for students and postdoctoral researchers, £400 / £500 for academics, and £700 / £850 for industry delegates. The optional conference dinner is booked and paid for separately. Accommodation is not provided or arranged.

To register, pay the appropriate fee through the University Store and then complete the separate SynTech registration form with the exact payment confirmation code or order number. If attendance depends on abstract acceptance, submit the abstract and await a decision before paying. Accepted presenters should register by 12 February 2027.
