Autism is a part of daily life for 2.8 million people in the UK. We know that job seeking and working in a professional environment can present particular challenges, but the right support at the right time can make a huge difference.
In the UK, we have collaborated with the National Autistic Society (NAS) to provide our autistic members with specialist support. This support also extends to autistic family members. It includes guidance on how to conduct yourself at interviews or disclose your autism diagnosis at work, tips for interacting with colleagues and understanding unspoken workplace rules, advice on dealing with bullying in the workplace and what the law says about your rights at work.
If you’re a member living overseas, your local society will be able to let you know what services are available in your country. If you need, we can put you in touch with your local society.
