Biography

Dr. Ananth Govind Rajan is an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science. He completed his B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi in 2013 and earned his M.S. and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2015 and 2019, respectively. Dr. Govind Rajan conducted postdoctoral research in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Princeton University. His research integrates quantum-mechanical and molecular simulations with machine learning to model nanomaterials for CO2 reduction/capture, water splitting, and membrane separations. He has received honors such as Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Research’s Class of Influential Researchers and IIT Delhi’s Graduates of the Last Decade Award. He is also an Associate of the Indian Academy of Sciences and the Indian National Academy of Engineering. He serves on the Early Career Board of EES Catalysis and Nano Letters.
