Cecilia Persson

Biography
Cecilia Persson is Professor of Materials Science at Uppsala University, Sweden, and Director of the AM4Life competence centre on additive manufacturing for life sciences. She is the past President of the Scandinavian Society for Biomaterials and has an educational background from France, Spain, Italy and the UK.
Her research focuses on additive manufacturing of biodegradable alloys and related biomaterials for orthopaedic applications. She leads several national and international collaborative projects on 3D-printed materials and implants and has authored more than 150 original papers in biomaterials and biomedical engineering.
