Donna Smith

Biography

Donna joined us in 2013 as a Publishing Editor. She has previously worked on several journals including Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry, ChemComm, Natural Product Reports, RSC Medicinal Chemistry and ChemSocRev, before moving to her current role. Prior to joining us, Donna completed a PhD in organic chemistry at the University of Edinburgh, working with Professor Hon Wai Lam on metal-catalysed transformations of ynamides, which was briefly followed by a temporary position in a polymer chemistry laboratory. She has obtained a MSci degree in Chemistry with Drug Discovery from Strathclyde University and during her degree, Donna was fortunate to undertake a one-year industrial placement at AstraZeneca and a summer placement at GlaxoSmithKline.
