Biography

Dr Huilin Pan received her Ph.D. from the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2013, followed by postdoctoral training at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory from 2014 to 2017. She subsequently worked as a materials scientist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory from 2017 to 2019. Since 2019, she has been a principal investigator in the Department of Chemistry at Zhejiang University, where she leads an independent research group.

Huilin's research focuses on the fundamental chemistry and materials science of advanced energy storage systems, with particular emphasis on sodium-ion batteries, emerging battery chemistries, electrode/electrolyte materials, and interfacial mechanisms. Her work aims to establish structure–property–performance relationships that guide the rational design of high-performance, safe, and sustainable battery technologies.
