René Janssen

Biography
René Janssen is University Professor in at the Eindhoven University of Technology in the departments Chemical Engineering & Chemistry and Applied Physics & Science Education, and also affiliated to the Dutch Institute for Fundamental Energy Research. His research focuses on developing, understanding, and employing organic and perovskite semiconductor materials for optoelectronic and energy applications.
Rene Janssen is member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences and fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. René Janssen received multiple awards, amongst others the René Descartes Prize of the European Commission, Spinoza Prize of the Dutch Research Council and two Advanced Grants of the European Research Council.
