Summary of contents

Our refreshed Inclusion and Diversity Strategy to 2030 sets out how we will drive systemic and sustainable inclusion across the chemical sciences. It positions inclusion, science culture and sense of belonging as central to the long-term health, resilience and success of the chemical sciences. Through a fully intersectional approach, the strategy recognizes that inequalities are not experienced in isolation and that overlapping identities can intensify disadvantage.

Five priorities will guide our work from 2026 to 2030: embedding inclusion across the chemical sciences; building on our strong evidence base to drive innovation and trust; enabling inclusive career pathways; driving systemic change through partnerships and structural levers; and leading advocacy and global inclusion.
