Travel Grants for PhD Students and Early Career Scientists
We are reviewing our Travel Grants in light of COVID-19 and are unable to accept applications currently. We will provide further information on this page as soon as we can.
You may also be interested in our Grants for Carers, which provides funds to cover additional costs that you may incur paying for care that you usually provide. Applicants to our Travel Grants may also apply to the Grants for Carers for the same meeting.
We are keen to support participation by PhD students and early career scientists (<10 years post-PhD or leaving full time education) in scientific conferences and workshops. Our Travel Grants for PhD Students and Early Career Scientists give two options for our members to fund their travels...
(Please note that these grants are intended for travel only and applicants should not apply for conference registration, subsistence or accommodation expenses)
Non-competitive grants - for those attending RSC meetings
Members travelling to attend RSC-run conferences or workshops may be entitled to a non-competitive grant of up to £200.

To check your Division membership, or to join a Division, please email the Membership Department, providing your membership number. Applicants must be a member of the Division they nominate in their application.
