Researcher Mobility Grants
We are reviewing our Researcher Mobility Grants in light of COVID-19 and are unable to accept applications currently. We will provide further information on this page as soon as we can.
Our Researcher Mobility Grants supports PhD students and early career researchers working in either academia or industry to undertake short to mid-term scientific visits to collaborators at overseas or UK organisations.
Applicants will be informed of the outcomes of their applications by the end of July for Round 1 and by the end of December for Round 2.
There are two options that you can apply for:

* Our grants will contribute towards travel to and from the host institution, accommodation and subsistence during the visit.
** Refers to applicants currently working or holding a contract in the UK and Republic of Ireland or overseas regardless of nationality.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this grant, you must satisfy all of the following conditions at the time of the application deadline:
Membership | Associate Member of the RSC (AMRSC) or greater |
Career stage | PhD student undertaking a chemistry PhD course OR Postdoctoral/early career researcher within 10 years post-PhD OR Industrialist with a chemical science degree or a Registered Science Technician (RSciTech)/Registered Scientist (RSci) designation |
Previous funding | You did not receive an RSC Researcher Mobility Grant in the previous application round AND You are not currently undertaking a project supported by an RSC Researcher Mobility Grant |

Assessment procedure
All applications are assessed by the Researcher Mobility Grant Working Group who have oversight of the entire grant scheme. The Group is comprised of senior academics and industrial representatives from our Divisions.
