This course aims to equip participants with the analytical and interpretative skills critical for working in the laboratory. These skills will be acquired through experimental methods with particular emphasis on safety, essential calibration and fundamental method validation, chromatography and spectroscopy instrumentation as well as data handling, analysis and reporting. The skills and knowledge learned will reinforce chemistry theories and their applications in the workplace. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to carry out essential analytical work in the laboratory independently.

Prerequisites
GCE 'O' Level in English (Grade 1-7), Mathematics (Grade 1-6) and Chemistry (Pure or Combined, Grade 1-6)
OR
Higher NTEC in Chemical Technology, Biotechnology or related science
OR
WSQ Diploma with 3 years' work experience
