Dissolution

This training course provides a comprehensive overview of the entire dissolution testing process, including fundamental dissolution principles, apparatus selection, practical system setup, troubleshooting common issues, method development and evaluation of results. It covers USP Apparatus Types 1–7, including typical applications, operation and key considerations, as well as calibration and performance assessment.

All material has a strong focus on practical considerations, ensuring relevance to reliable real-world testing, explaining both the why and how of all aspects of dissolution, with lots of experienced advice on achieving consistency in routine dissolution testing. We also explore method development, looking at the unique aspects of developing dissolution conditions and challenges presented to analytical methods. including the use of f1 and f2 comparative dissolution profiles to assess similarities and differences between formulations or manufacturing changes.
