For the design, development and bioanalytical application of an ultra-high frequency acoustic wave device for the antifouling-based detection of biological species in complex media such as serum.
The Biosensor Surface Innovators team has designed and created a highly sensitive biosensor with anti-fouling coating for bio-detection.
The team, spanning Canada, Slovakia, and Hungary, creates anti-fouling coatings which can be applied to a variety of surfaces.
These coatings help to drastically reduce surface fouling by serum (the clear liquid part of blood that remains after blood cells and clotting proteins are removed) as well as bacteria and fungi.
