Emma Eley

Biography
Emma is executive editor for the energy journals portfolio and team. She has over fifteen years’ experience in academic publishing, including several years in leadership roles, and has worked on established high-impact journals in the chemical sciences as well as newer open access journals with strong emerging reputations. Prior to her career in academic publishing, she obtained a first class Master’s degree in chemistry from Cardiff University.
In her role, she works closely with members of the global research community, journal editorial boards, and our colleagues to ensure that the journals publish trustworthy and impactful content underpinned by high standards of research excellence.
Emma takes a great interest in talent development, leading the energy Journals team and acting as a mentor in various professional mentorship schemes. Outside of work she enjoys playing tennis and netball for local clubs in Cambridge.
