Supercapacitors

This collection aims to showcase excellent research at the forefront of supercapacitor technology and promote their practical applications toward the development of resilient energy systems.

We invite original research covering all aspects of supercapacitor development, including but not limited to:

• New electrode materials for supercapacitor applications
• Electrolyte design and engineering and sustainable electrolyte systems
• Structure-property relationships and charge storage mechanisms
• Advanced characterization tools and techniques 
• Modelling, simulation and theoretical studies
• Machine learning- and AI-empowered supercapacitor materials and devices

We also welcome submissions on hybrid capacitors, supercapacitors, micro-supercapacitors, electrochromic supercapacitors, and self-healing supercapacitors, as well as integrated systems.

Manuscripts should be submitted via the journal’s online submission service. Please quote Supercapacitors “YASuper26” in the “Themed issues” section of the submission form and add a “Note to the Editor” that this is from the open call.
