Preferential CO oxidation in a H2-rich stream promoted by ReOx species attached to Pt metal particles

Abstract

Clusters of ReOx are formed and attached to Pt metal particles during H2reduction treatment on Pt–ReOx/SiO2, and the synergy between Pt metal surface and neighboring ReOx clusters gives high catalytic performance in the preferential CO oxidation in the presence of H2O and CO2 as more realistic reaction conditions at low reaction temperature.
