Qiang Zhang

Biography
Dr. Qiang Zhang received MSc and PhD degrees from Tsinghua University, China. After his postdoc at Case Western Reserve University and Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society, he joined Tsinghua University. Now he is a full Professor in the Chemical Engineering Department at Tsinghua University.
His group mainly focuses on advanced energy chemistry and energy materials, including dendrite-free lithium metal anodes, lithium sulfur batteries, electrolytes, solid state batteries, and energy electrocatalysis, especially the structure design and full demonstration of advanced energy materials in working devices.
He received a Zhaowu Tian award from the International Society of Electrochemistry, a Science and Technology Award for Chinese Youth, a Distinguished Young Faculty of Ministry of Education, an Xplorer prize, and a Young Scientist Sustainable Development Goals Award. He won the first prize for Natural Science of the Ministry of Education and the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars.
