Abstract

The reaction of triphenylbismuth and tert-butylphosphonic acid gives the bismuth phosphonate phase (ButPO3H)3Bi and the first bismuth phosphonate cluster [(ButPO3)10(ButPO3H)2Bi14O10·3C6H6·4H2O].
