Nobel Prize for Chemistry 2005

The Royal Society of Chemistry warmly welcomes the conferment today of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2005 on Richard Schrock, Yves Chauvin and Robert Grubbs jointly. 

Richard Schrock, of MIT, will be in the UK in mid-October for the Royal Society of Chemistry Sir Edward Frankland Lectureship. He will lecture in Cardiff on 19 October and in Edinburgh on 21 October on Applications of High Oxidation State Alkylidenes to Catalytic Processes in Organic and Polymer Chemistry. 

This year's Nobel Prize has seen the celebration of one of chemistry's most important reactions.
