Royal Society of Chemistry Executive Director of Publishing in move

The Royal Society of Chemistry's Executive Director of Publishing, Dr Jim Milne, has accepted a role as publishing director for the physical science journal portfolio at publisher Wiley. 

RSC Chief Executive Dr Robert Parker thanked Dr Milne for his leadership of RSC Publishing, saying: "Jim has played a significant role in the continued development and progress achieved by RSC Publishing in recent years, not least with the Gold for Gold open access initiative that was recently declared 'ingenious' by Science Minister David Willetts. 

"Our publishing team is in a hugely strong position, ably shown by the latest Impact Factors released by Thomson Reuters, where more of our journals than any other publisher were in the top 20 for the multidisciplinary chemistry category. 

"We wish Jim well in his move back to Oxford and will announce his successor in due course."
