Marking an important milestone
Stephen Rumbelow, Royal Society of Chemistry Director of Sales & Marketing, says: "We are very pleased to have made such a promising agreement with EISZ, which means the Hungarian consortium’s members are now able to take its place with institutions from ten other European countries, helping advance the transition towards Open Access publishing, through our innovative Read & Publish model.
“This agreement is an important milestone in strengthening our support for the Hungarian chemistry community, by connecting them with the European Open Access community through our platform.”
Katalin Urbán, director of Electronic Information Service National Programme, said, “Our partnership with the Royal Society of Chemistry stands on strong foundations. In recent years, EISZ has made serious steps in order to ensure that our agreements with publishers cover the OA publishing costs of the participating institutions.
“The Royal Society of Chemistry has been pioneering the way of a global transition to Open Access, and we are extremely happy that Hungary joins the initiative paved by illustrious members of the community.”
