Prize winners 2023

Today we recognise over 60 teams and individuals for their contributions to the chemical sciences. Join us in celebrating our winners either on social media or on their individual winners' pages. 

We announced our Horizon Prize winners, Research & Innovation Prize winners, Volunteer Recognition Prize winners, and the winners of our Inclusion & Diversity Prize.

Our prizes showcase the best cutting-edge work from across the chemical sciences. It’s an opportunity to learn about and celebrate the amazing progress that is being made by our community in tackling global challenges and innovating for a better future for all of us.

It’s also a time to recognise the dedication, brilliance and expertise of the teams and individuals who are making an impact on the chemical sciences and in our community.

Who is being recognised and why?

Our winners come from a wide range of backgrounds, roles and career stages, both from inside and outside the UK. We have specific prizes for individuals and also for teams, because we recognise that both individual excellence and collaboration are essential to doing great science. We also recognise those that volunteer their time in support of the Royal Society of Chemistry’s mission.
