Chemists’ Community Fund adds new wellbeing books to our library
Our Chemists’ Community Fund have added a selection of books on health and wellbeing to the library at our London headquarters in Burlington House.
The books, which cover topics such as overcoming depression, improving sleep and how to better manage finances, are available for members to read and borrow from the library in our London headquarters at Burlington House, Piccadilly. Members can also ask for the books to be posted to them – a service that covers all of our borrowable library books.
The new books, launched today are part of a range of services offered by our Chemists’ Community Fund to support health and wellbeing.
Royal Society of Chemistry members can access objective and confidential advice on any aspect of your health and wellbeing. The fund has partnered with counselling service CiC to give members fast access to over 1400 accredited counsellors for face-to-face and telephone support, with grants to cover the costs for those that need them. The Chemists’ Community Fund can also arrange visits from their dedicated volunteers for anyone that just needs someone to talk to.
The fund can also provide legal advice, financial support for anyone in a difficult situation or facing unexpected costs, careers support and bereavement support. These services are available to eligible members anywhere in the world, their dependents, and former Royal Society of Chemistry members with 10 years previous membership history.
We are currently working with our local sections to run a programme of regional workshops on understanding wellbeing and resilience. You can find details of upcoming workshops, as well as further details of all of our Chemists’ Community Fund services on our website.
